Ada-Borup Knowledge Bowl teams consist of six to eight people. The school team competes against teams from other schools around the region. A day of Knowledge Bowl begins with a written round to determine the initial placement of the teams. Only five people can take the written test per school team. Then, after the placement of the team, they have four oral rounds where the first team to buzz in will get the first chance to answer. The questions in the oral round are usually general knowledge and require quick reflexes and an even quicker mind. In each round are a total of three teams that are placed similarly together score-wise, the points are then tallied after each round and the team with the highest cumulative score over the four oral rounds wins. Medals are awarded for first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth place. Ada-Borup is coached by Tanya Kemper.
