GED INFORMATION
Lakes Area Adult Education provides educational services for adults. We focus on individual learning opportunities to help adults achieve educational, economic and social goals.
We serve Ada-Borup West, Ulen-Hitterdal, Norman County East, Detroit Lakes, Lake Park-Audubon, Frazee-Vergas, New York Mills, Pelican Rapids, Perham-Dent, Rothsay, Naytahwaush, and the Becker County Jail.
Some of the services we provide are:
- Earn high school equivalency (GED®)
- Earn Standard Adult High School Diploma (ADP)
- Improve reading, writing, and math skills
- Help with career planning and job skills
- Help with college prep/entry exam
- Learn English as a Second Language
- Study US Citizenship
- ServSafe Certification
- Study for the MN drivers written exam

ABE services also include digital literacy, basic skills, college preparation, and ESL free for eligible students.
