We’re excited to welcome back our elementary students and families for our second annual Cougar Kickoff Days, formerly known as Assessment Days! These special start-of-year appointments are designed to give each child and their family a strong, smooth, and personalized start to the school year.
On Tuesday, September 2nd and Wednesday, September 3rd, each student will attend a one-on-one, scheduled appointment with their teacher. These individual conferences give students the chance to get to know their classroom and teacher before the first day, while teachers are able to gather helpful information to kickstart individualized instruction. We'll be doing some beginning-of-year learning check-ins (nothing stressful—just tools to help us get to know where your child is starting so we can best support their learning right away).
During your scheduled time, we’ll also complete health screenings such as vision and hearing checks, collect any necessary paperwork, and be available to answer any questions you may have for the office.
Last year’s kickoff days were a huge success, and we’re looking forward to an even more refined experience this year. Please fill out the included form to let us know your preferred day and time of day for your appointment.
Important reminders:
A parent or adult must accompany each student.
Plan to spend about one hour for your appointment (add 15 minutes per additional elementary child).
You will only need to attend one of the two days.
Appointment times will be sent out during the first week of August.
Classroom assignments will also be shared in early August—keep an eye out!
